Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Spain

Everybody wants to go to Spain. Renowned on the world stage, Spain’s rich history, cultural significance, and year-round warm weather make it a desirable tourist destination at any time of the year. Its people are passionate about living, and, subsequently, love to party - evidenced by the endless street festivals held across the country each year.

From Gaudi’s awe-inspiring modernist architecture in Barcelona to the Prado Museum of Madrid and Seville’s Flamenco dancing, Spain is world-famous for its cities. Although however good its city scene is, you simply can not pass up its idyllic islands for an authentic all-inclusive experience.

From the Balearics to the Canaries, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to luxury all-inclusive resorts just off the coast of Spain. Benefiting from a delightful climate and endlessly sunny skies, people flock in from all over the world to recline on a sun lounger, oceanside, and go “ah”. Below are five such resorts that will give you that sweet Spanish dream plus so much more.

  1. Iberostar Selection Anthelia

Iberostar is a high-end Spanish hotel chain with a reputation that can only exceed itself. Selection Anthelia on Tenerife is one of their most prized 5-star resorts that looks like paradise because it is in fact paradise. Their devotion to being “family-friendly” allows both children and parents to find their own slice of paradise, and live it.

The entire resort has been designed to replicate a Canarian town and this quirk really does capture your imagination and runs with it. Their choice of rooms is also rather impressive, with seven doubles and three suite types that each come ready to dazzle. Some of the more notable room amenities include complimentary bathrobes and slippers, unlimited purified water, a coffee maker, and a balcony to soak in that gorgeous Canarian sunshine.

For families, there’s also the option of equipping the kid’s room with an extra bed, and a crib for the little ones. Interested n a suite? You will be swirling around your very own whirlpool, and benefit from an extra-spacious living room and a sea-view balcony guarantee. Iberostar is also doing its bit for the environment by doing away with single-use plastics in all rooms, allowing you to holiday consciously.

In terms of resort facilities, every member of the family is more than catered for at Selection Anthelia. From the adult-only pool to a children’s one which features multiple slides that snake their way down from a fully-fledged pirate ship, there is absolutely no chance of your children complaining about being bored here.

There is also a state-of-the-art luxury spa for mum and dad to slip away to and come out feeling better than ever. The all-inclusive package entitles you to every drink, snack, and meal during your stay. With five world-class restaurants and three bars to pick from, it’s safe to say that you won’t go hungry or get tired of eating from the same all-inclusive buffet in this fabulous place.

    2. Hotel Riu Gran Canaria

Staying within the Canary Islands archipelago, we have a real all-inclusive doozy for you. Looking out across the angelic Meloneras Coast of Maspalomas, Hotel Riu Gran Canaria is supremely located to offer its guests an all-inclusive holiday to remember.

One of the ways that this 4-star has managed to outshine its counterparts is by offering a 24-hour all-inclusive service. Most all-inclusive resorts will tack on their 24-hour room service as an extra cost, but not Hotel Riu. Their dedication to service at any time of the day gives you an all-access pass to eat, drink, and overindulge whenever you very well, please.

What’s more? The best part about Hotel Riu isn’t their 24-hour on-the-house service, it’s the price. In a competitive market, it’s the hotels that manage to offer it all for less who get booked out time and time again. And yes, this 600-room oceanfront empire is ready to serve you an all-inclusive experience for a whole lot less than the next hotel down the beach.

If the lower-than-average price point has got you a little nervous about on-site facilities, then get ready to squash those nerves promptly. The resort’s three adult-only and two children's pools with slides ensure everyone can live their best poolside/ slide life. There’s also a fully-equipped fitness gym and the ability to use non-motorized watersport equipment on the calm, crystal-clear waters right out front. Kids will be kept entertained and engaged at the RiuLand Kids’ Club, while the adolescents with attitude will find some respite at Riu4U (an activities program designed especially for them).

For couples who don’t have kids and would prefer to keep them at an arm’s length - consider a stay in one of the resort’s swim-up suites. Oceanfront by design, each of these high-flying rooms features a private pool and all the luxury trimmings. As impressive as this resort is, Hotel Riu knows that guests like to get out and explore their surroundings. With a string of tours that take you to every historic town and landmark on the island, there really is no Gran Canaria holiday like a Hotel Riu one.

    3. PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort & Spa

Mallorca’s PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort & Spa is the heavenly Balearic Island holiday destination that you never knew existed, but have secretly always wanted. Nestled between Albufereta National Park and Pollensa Bay, this stunning oceanfront resort is surrounded by nature and has an activities program that leans on this, every chance it gets. The resort’s deep connection to the sport of cycling has translated itself into a dedicated Cycle Center that puts experienced and novice cyclists in the saddle for island tours that can only be described as “wow”.

Spacious and modern, each of the rooms has been designed to be comfortable for couples, families, great, and small. Choosing functionality over luxury, the rooms at PortBlue Pollentia marry the perfect balance of homely and holiday - again putting you in the cozy comfort zone. A daily-cleaning service will ensure your room remains tip-top (even after the kids have done their best to dishevel it).

Whether you want to unleash your appetite on the buffet at Denario, dine a la carte at the poolside Grill Aquarius, or eat in peace at the adults-only hide-out of Ancora, there is a delicious emphasis on blending international flavours with locally sourced ingredients at PortBlue. Both Bar luna and Bar Tritón have your morning, afternoon, and evening tipples covered (if you decide to partake in all three, we are certainly not here to judge).

From its proud hillside post up above the resort and world, The Ocean Spa & Wellness centre is nothing short of heaven. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows give way to the most breathtaking views over Pollensa Bay. This does an amazing job of putting you in a serene state of mind even before your first treatment. Booking onto their all-inclusive package will not only entitle you to all the standard perks but you’ll also be gifted a 90-minute spa session. This poses the question, what are you waiting for?

   4. Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa

With over 40 hotels dotted across six countries, The Palladium Hotel Group know the luxury resort formula and apply it to all that they do, serve, and offer. The Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza is a 5-star all-inclusive hotel with prime real estate on Playa d’en Bossa. Which, encase you didn’t know, just so happens to be the longest stretch of white-sand beach in Ibiza (so kind of a big deal).

The beauty of this resort is that it is family-friendly, while also being a perfect destination for loved-up couples and groups of friends looking to live their paradisical Ibiza dreams. They have managed to create this “two worlds within one” oasis of luxury by ensuring adequate services, facilities, and amenities for all. From the activity-driven Kids’ Club to the Splash Mini Club and multiple family-friendly pools, your kids will be jumping for joy at the endless oppurtunities for fun.

For the adults, there is nightly live music and entertainment at the art-deco-designed theatre. There are also daily Zumba classes, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, and an archery field all included in the all-inclusive deal. Branded as “the biggest all-inclusive resort in Ibiza”, with a statement like that you just know you’re going to be eating well and drinking better in this palace. Four a la carte and three show-cooking restaurants have got your breakfast, lunch, and dinner sorted while the resort’s six bars (including a dedicated Sports Bar), stock a wide variety of premium and international beers, wines, and spirits.

Zentropia Spa & Wellness Center is an adults-only haven of zen that offers high-end luxury spa treatments that can be booked for an additional cost. The rooms have all been designed in a contemporary style with an edge of zing in the Deluxe Jacuzzi room. Boasting a spacious terrace, artificial grass, wood furnishings, a pergola, and a hydromassage tub for two, there is nowhere else for couples to stay. Even the resort’s standard rooms have fun and funky decor that hints at being in Ibiza and leaving your inhibitions at home. A large expanse of a resort that hasn’t lost sight of its high level of service and attention to detail, and for that, we salute it.

   5. Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife

A 5-star fantasy-themed hotel on the island of eternal spring (Tenerife) - for anyone who leans to the magical side of life, this is your kind of place. Featuring 372 rooms, seven pools, five restaurants, five bars, and a children’s water park, it’s safe to say that Bahia Principe Fantasia is a dreamland of monumental proportions.

From the enchanting Hesperides Garden to the awe-inspiring thousand-year-old Drago and the resort’s general conceptual design, it feels as if both the Mad Hatter and Alice got together to design this fantasy land, and, subsequently, you will be blown away by what’s around every corner. Included in their extensive all-inclusive package you will receive all your meals, a kids’ buffet, three a la carte restaurant-style meals, and 24-hour snack service to keep the midnight munchies at bay.

The resort’s multiple pools, clubs, fitness gym, theatre, multimedia entertainment room, solarium, and sports grounds are free to access on the all-inclusive too. What’s not included is alcohol. Unfortunately, because Bahia Principe is so family-focused they have chosen not to include an endless supply of alcohol on their package. Obviously, there are five in-resort bars where a selection of premium beverages can be ordered, but this will be at an additional cost.

Not that it’s surprising, but each of the resort rooms has been styled in line with the fantasy theme and it really does bring a weird and wonderful edge to your holiday. There is a wide selection of standard, superior, and suite rooms available, with an option to book into the resort’s own castle wonderland - a place where the rooms are extra quirky and fashioned to give you a Cinderella-esque story. Kids, big kids at heart, adults - Bahia Principe Fantasia has managed to make vacations even more fun by creating a world where fantasy reigns supreme, and we think that’s a very cool thing.
